Repair of a damaged LED surface
Almost killed and yet saved
Even severe damage to LED tiles is possible at the AVMS Repair Center.
In case of a heavily mechanically damaged INFiLED DB 1.9mmtile this has to be well documented.
First, the damaged area is freed from LED residues and damaged conductive tracks and cleaned. Then a new trace is inserted in the form of a repair foil. Then solder in replacement LEDs and reattach the protective grid. The result is impressive.
- Protective grille removed
- Damaged area cleaned
- Repair film applied
- New LEDs from the same batch soldered in
- Protective grid applied
- Function test
